Tatum’s Story

Tatum is 36 years old, married, and has three children. She became aware of her weight in high school. “As I grew up and had children, I realized that I had a problem with my weight,” Tatum says.

Diabetes and High Blood Pressure Runs in Tatum’s Family

“Both my mom and dad have diabetes and high blood pressure,” states Tatum. “That was a major deal for me when I turned 35, to make sure that I didn’t develop those problems as well.”

Weight-loss diets and treatments failed her

“I’ve done all those awesome diets; the military diet, lemon juice diet, bacon diet and I’ve tried Atkins,” explains Tatum. “I’ve also tried regular diet and exercise and none of them worked.”

Discovering Lomaira

My doctor recommended that I take a lower dose medication, Lomaira,” states Tatum. “The great thing about Lomaira is that it is a low-dose medication so you can take it throughout the day.”

Dosage should be individualized to obtain an adequate response with the lowest effective dose. The usual adult dose is one tablet three times a day 30 minutes before meals. This tablet is scored to facilitate administering one half of the usual dosage for patients not requiring the full dose. Phentermine hydrochloride is not recommended for use in pediatric patients 16 years of age or younger. Late evening medication should be avoided because of the possibility of resulting insomnia.

Getting results

Lomaira has helped Tatum lose 14% of her body weight. “With Lomaira, I find that I have better portion control,” Tatum says. “I no longer have to have the big 11-inch plate, I can eat off the 7-inch plate and still get just as satisfied and enjoy all my favorite foods.”

The Lomaira difference

“I think that I’ve made lifestyle changes that will allow me to maintain my weight that I’ve lost,” states Tatum. “For me, reaching the goal of 183 is a great accomplishment. I’m doing it my way, which is healthy and stable. It’s not a short-term fad diet for me.”

Individual results may vary.
